Kevin Nahler > "Facing A New Day" Druid Peak Wolf. Lamar Canyon, Yellowstone. This photo was taken on 11 Marh 2008, just 17 days prior to the Gray Wolf being removed from the Endangered Species list. I frequently struggle with 'Titles' for the few photos that I do name. I came up with the name for this one when I went back and looked at this photo after the delisting had occured. It felt appropriate, considering what all the Gray wolves that have made a remarkable recovery in ID, MT and WY will face in the coming years.
Kevin Nahler > Frost covered tree in Lamar Valley. I've wanted to do a winter trip to YNP for the past 10 years to watch and photograph Wolves. I finally made it this year and the scenery in the winter was an added bonus. (March 2008, Lamar Valley)

Kevin Nahler > "Down the Road" Grizzly Sow with two cubs. My favorite bear encounters have been when no one else is around. This was one of those times. This bear had been walking down the road with her two cubs when I came down the road. When I pulled off the road to get out of her way, she went up into the trees, around me and back down to the road. (June 2008, Beaver Lake)
Kevin Nahler > Deer Fawn, 2 days old. (June 2008, Calcite Overlook) It was a very special treat to be able to photograph this little guy.
Kevin Nahler > "Waiting" Coyote laying down during snowstorm. (March 2008, Children's interpretive walk)
Kevin Nahler > Bull Elk, It's a little early, or late, to be bugling. (March 2008, Blacktail Ponds) You can see the ice build up on his antlers and neck. There were several bulls hanging around a bog area. They were there everyday, drinking and getting to what food they could that wasn't frozen.
Kevin Nahler > Fox kit. (June 2008, Jackson WY, Karn's Meadow)
